Yukiko simply couldn't decide. Not only was she fearing that Chie wouldn't approve of anything she chose... part of her simply figured it best to do what Chie wanted. She was her guest, after all. So it went that Yukiko devoted the rest of her time to making sure the inn was impeccable. One would think it was a brand new establishment by the time her guest arrived. Not even a speck of dust would be left if she could help it.

Content, Yukiko sat back with a sigh, tugging at the edges of her scarf... coming to an abrupt stop as she heard the distant sound from the front sliding doors being opened. Quick to rise to her feet as if she were expecting a customer, she made to bow her head in greeting... and instead straightened with a smile to greet her guest.

"Chie! I-" was waiting for you! missed you! absolutely ado- "I'm glad you made it." A quick mental chastising fought back each and every one of those alternate thoughts as her friend approached with a jubilant wave. "'sup, Yuki!" How did Chie's ever-present brightness always manage to ease her worries? Except somehow, Yukiko feared this might be the one time it wouldn't be a sure-fire cure.

"How was-" Yukiko had been about to ask as if Chie's training had gone, yet soon saw her answer. It looked as if her friend had come straight from her workout without skipping a beat, since she was still dressed as if she were in a training session. Did she ever not? "-practice..."

"Oh, it was great! So, uh..." Chie hesitated, looking past Yukiko to the clearly empty halls. "...doesn't seem like much is going on here..."

"Well, no, it's been really quiet today... so I thought it'd be nice to have yo- some company!" Good save.

"Yeah, I guess it must be pretty dull here..." Thank heaven Chie didn't pick up on that lapse in her thoughts. Yukiko almost sighed in relief as the slim girl looked around without a thought to what she'd said. "...so what're we gonna do instead?"

"Well... I thought I'd leave it up to you, since-... I didn't have much of an idea, really..." Yukiko managed an awkward smile before looking off in a random direction.
Chie blinked, watching Yukiko for a long moment. She didn't mind her friend's company, but even she wasn't completely clueless. "Uh, Yuki, is anything the matter?"

Yukiko was thankful that her brief reaction of surprise went unseen. She quickly recovered her mask of calmness as she looked back to Chie with a subdued smile, before responding...

[A] Nothing's the matter!
[B] Make up something.
[C] Tell the truth.
Yukiko's learning that her guest isn't quite so happy-go-lucky as she thought.
